SimplePart is looking for a sharp, creative Analyst with a background in applied mathematics to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team. This Analyst will join a small team and be responsible for monitoring day-to-day performance of our client websites, identifying and researching trends, and working with internal business and technical teams.

We provide a turn-key solution to car dealers and aftermarket parts sellers, giving them the ability to quickly and easily sell parts online. At present, our portfolio of websites serve a worldwide user base of more than 1,700,000 monthly unique website visitors and deliver more than 6,000,000 daily page-views.

The position will build and manage a picture of performance for each client website individually, as well as a “big picture” view of all of our client websites in aggregate – and to keep business and technical teams abreast of observed, predicted and needed changes to that picture.

Upon your findings, you will alert us to unexpected external changes, and help guide decisions for changes by presenting quantitative solution analysis. Your input will be key in guiding the changes we implement and helping us to react to external changes. You will have the opportunity to present your findings to our clients in formal presentations as well, so polished presentation skills are a definite plus.

Your analysis will track:

• How is the platform performing
• How are each of our clients performing
• What third party (Google, Bing, Amazon, etc) activity is affecting our clientele
• What are competitors doing

Broadly, your responsibilities will include:

• Define thresholds and KPIs for critical business and web-specific metrics
• Monitor individual website performance as well as aggregate performance of all of our client websites
• Alert us to unexpected changes
• Help identify potential new opportunities with supporting analysis
• Segment and monitor performance of traffic sources
• Evaluate internal and third party metrics
• Identify developing trends, where possible identify the cause, and provide recommendations
• Turn raw data into presentable, business-friendly metrics, charts and actionable tasks
• Improve our understanding of how shoppers interact with our websites
• Improve the quality of the shopping experience we provide
• Increase conversion rates and improve ROI for our customers
• Help drive Development, Marketing and Business growth with analysis and recommendations
• Provide timely insight into changes in website performance to business team
• Provide supporting metrics

Special consideration will be given to candidates with:

• SQL Server query-writing experience
• An interest in Automotive or Motorcycles
• Work experience in online commerce
• Reporting Services, Cognos or Crystal Reports experience
